and Family Style Treatment
As for my cash at time of service fees, I offer a scale based on the time you spend with me. For acupuncture only, a session starts as a 15 minute cycle while the total treatment time is 1 hour. This would be broken down, for example, if we were billing insurance at $50 with a 20% discount for payment at time of service.
Each additional 15 minutes again with me (that is to say needle prescription modification for additional conditions) is again billed at $50 with the 20% time of service discount. So for time of service fees in a private room for a single condition or less complicated condition the fee is $50.00 minus 20%, or $40.00. More complicated or additional conditions could require additional time with me again in a private room we would add $40 for a total of $80.00.
If you would also like CranioSacral Therapy that is $25 for 15 minutes and requires a private room--so that could be $40 plus $25 for a total of $65.00 for Master Tung's Advanced Acupuncture simple complexity and 15 minutes of CranioSacral Therapy.
In addition to these discounts, the inclusion of a "family style" room is available. The use of a 'family style' setting allows for an additional discount of 15% per 15 minutes of complexity.
At Radiant Acupuncture the adaptation of a shared space and shared time comes together to form our 'family style' of treatment. The treatment room setting allows for 1-3 patients to come together in a semi-private environment where each person receives an individualized treatment.
This style of treatment is the norm in much of Asia, with patients sharing a large room. Here in the states it has started to become more common as a way to offer services to clients who do not have insurance. Typically this is referred to as Community Acupuncture. I offer a scaled down version with only 2 to 3 patients in a room at a time. I tend to try and set appointment times so that most people do not need to share time or their space, but still offer the reduction in fees with the possibility that you might be receiving care in the family style room.
